Here it is… ROBUR Dosing MOD

So…

Pretty strapped for time of late, I know, excuses, but I have been telling some you all out there that I would get this up on the site soon. So, without dragging on further here it is …no directions, no photos, nothing but “here it is.”

I’ll get some photos of an install up later this week, or rather early next week. And when I get the time I’ll write up some instructions on the PDF file as well.

Update: (Here are the photos up on FLICKR).

>>>basically,

  • print template at 100%
  • use template to cut a plastic MOD
  • remove doser
  • remove lever plate
  • bend plastic MOD into shape
  • replace lever plate (putting screws thru MOD holes to secure)
  • replace doser.

For now, enjoy.

    Hey Mike W. —

    I seem to always be finding something in my pockets.

    …I’ll get some new photos on the FLICKR soon of the new MOD install.

    We’ve been using the newest dosing MOD in our cafe for about a month now… huge reduction of waste. The one problem with it occurs if you over dose, pushing coffee up in to the shoot… this clogs the shoot. The best way to un-clog it is to gently flick the shoot with your finger, so…

    If you install it on your grinders let me know how it works out for you.

    Hey All—

    I took the Template off line for the moment… found an issue with the design.

    I need to make a small adjustment to the shape, it was hanging up on the lever arm inside.

    It is an easy fix (you may have fix it yourselfs already), and I’ll have the touch up done and on line soon; I have taken a series of Install Photos which I’ll have up on FLICKR soon as well.

    Thanks again for the espresso at Batdorf and Bronson last week. I’m looking forward to the reposting of your doser mod. I need to try that on my SJ. I’m getting coffee grounds everywhere.

    I cut up a milk jug the other day and stored the cutout to make this thing as soon as you post the new template. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
